after writing my holiday thank you's, i desperately needed to replenish my stationery.  i am a super anal thank you note writer (uh, among other things).  we had all of our wedding thank you's done before we even left for our honeymoon (a week after the wedding, but still).  the rule growing up was, we couldn't use our gift/deposit the check until the note was in the mail.  i still stand by this rule!

all this to say, i noticed a trend while searching for new notecards.

that chevron that i love so dearly?  it's a paper trend too.

bunting?  yup!

and while this is not my personal style, even paper puts a bird on it.

i wonder what the trends for 2012 will be?  as someone who embraced the skinny jeans thing a year or two late, i don't expect to be any sort of trend-setter.  home design, paper, or otherwise.

(are skinny jeans still in?  please say yes.)

  1. I'm the same way. We left the day after our wedding but got the thank you's done right when we got back. As for the kids, I always have Thank you notes in the mail a week after Christmas, Birthdays, etc. I'm a bit obsessive over thank you notes too. I say, it's better to write when (when not always necessary) than to not!

You should see my collection over the last few years...it's border line obsessive.

  2. I just got a pair of maternity skinny jeans, so I hope they're still in! Otherwise I am one major fashion faux-pas walking around.

  3. i knew i liked you. i'm a stickler for thank you notes and have a collection that i pick up at swanky stationary stores when they go on clearance.

i was just thinking the other day that i might buy some skinny jeans to wear with boots and ballet flats. so yeah, i hope they are still in style. :)
