we finally had a productive weekend!  nothing super blog-worthy (yet, i'm still blogging about it, hmm), but it feels good to get things done on the weekends again.  it's hard to work around the house when there are one to three guys in half of your space.  and double the furniture in your living room.

but that's over!  and to celebrate our new kitchen (and the less than 100 degree weather) i cooked a lot.

lentils!

we also cleaned a lot.  we were due for a big purge (even sean was on board!) and wound up making a huge drop off at good will.

we've had this huge wardrobe box in our basement for about a year that held my dollhouse.  we couldn't fit it in the attic but i couldn't part with it- my dad put the whole thing together for me.  so we took it out of the box and now it is sticking out like a sore thumb in the manbasement.  sorry sean.

i think we had that same carpet on the stairs in the house i grew up in.

i can't wait to redecorate it one day!  yeah i just said that.  the wallpaper needs to go.

we also swapped around some furniture on the top floor (um, of our house, not the dollhouse).  the loveseat is now in our bedroom.  the thing about redoing the loveseat, is that i never had a plan for where it would go.  so, it's squished in our bedroom until i can come up with a few extra square feet somewhere.

look how big anna is! she can sit up on her own and stuff!
which reminds me that i was once in the middle of redoing the bedroom, and then just gave up.  gotta get back on that!

we spent sunday running errands in the burbs and then finally planning our vacation we're taking next month.

thanks for all your nice comments on the kitchen!  we are so happy with how it turned out!

  1. I found doll house furniture at a store in Ithaca so when you redecorate the doll house, you can "shop" there.

  2. I didn't know you had furniture and everything! I love how the stairs have carpet and I totally think this look should come back.

Thanks for the cute Anna picture. I like how it emphasizes all of her rolls.

    1. your doll house is in my basement, don't know if there's furniture in there or not. Grampa Wrona built yours.

    2. I keep forgetting about that! As soon as the chair comes out of her room, I can move the dollhouse in.
