when i started out on the master bedroom, i declared a neutral bedroom challenge! i painted the walls white! stuck our down comforter in a plain white duvet! and bought a neutral-ish rug!
then i stenciled one wall a very contrasting color.
that was sort of the end of the white bedroom thing.
i also made new curtains, created some questionable 'art' and debated about 50 kinds of furniture hardware (but never bought any).
then sean insisted we clear out the middle bedroom in anticipation of a crib (because we don't have 25 more weeks til we need one) and the loveseat ended up in here too. currently, this is what we've got...
it doesn't really go. it's got black stripes and the rest of the room is blue. but we don't really have another option. and i hope to one day yell at my bratty 13 year old 'i decorated my bedroom in clashing black and blue because of you!!'. ok maybe not.
this room is far from done. i'd love to get some non-tiny lamps and finally install the new ceiling fan that's been sitting in the guest room for 3 months. and of course, the rest of the walls are completely bare. oh! and i still want a new bed but i just don't like anything i've seen. so yeah, not done. but better!

haha. little bambino already upsetting the flow of things chez olive. :) think of how much fun you'll have decorating a nursery though - go all white in there and then have loads of parents laugh at your innocence.
ReplyDeletethink of it this way, at least you have another place to sit in your room to put on shoes. :)
the loveseat can come back to me for "storage"; especially now that it looks to nice. I can find a number of places for it.
